Terms of service

These terms govern use of Nuxused — the web dashboard, the API and the Nuxused Teacher and Nuxused Parent & Student mobile apps. By registering a school or signing in to an account, you accept them.
1. Accounts
A school registers and becomes the account holder. The school issues logins to its staff, students and guardians and is responsible for who holds them. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been compromised.
2. The free trial
New schools start on a free trial with the full product. We may set a reasonable duration and limits on the trial. Nothing is charged without the school choosing a paid plan.
3. Paid plans
Paid plans are per school and priced against the number of students and the modules enabled. Fees are stated when you subscribe. If payment lapses, we will tell you before access is limited, and your data is not deleted merely because a payment is late.
4. Your data
The records a school enters remain the school’s. We process them to provide the service and as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell them and do not use them to train models. On request we will export a school’s data in a portable format.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- attempt to reach data belonging to another school or another family;
- probe, scan or test the security of the service without our written permission;
- upload malware, or content that is unlawful or infringes someone’s rights;
- resell or sublicense access without an agreement with us;
- use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service available and take regular backups, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where practical.
7. The mobile apps
The apps are licensed, not sold, to users of a subscribing school, for use with that school’s Nuxused account. Do not decompile, redistribute or repackage them. Access ends when the school’s account ends or the school removes the login.
8. Suspension and termination
A school may stop using the service at any time; email us to close the account and request an export. We may suspend an account that breaches these terms or endangers the service, and will explain why.
9. Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the fees the school paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are notified to school administrators and the date above is updated. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the revised terms.
